The base kit does not include a BTS-MP1 sensor. Add one à la carte below for $15 — the cheapest way to add opening and temperature sensing to your coop.

$99 per year after the first year. Renewal covers ongoing cellular data, cloud processing, and SMS alert delivery. The first year of service is already included in the $399 base kit price.
Your coop needs one 110V outlet. Any source is fine — grid, solar with an inverter, or generator. Mother Hen is source-agnostic; it just needs power at the coop.
Mother Hen is a monitoring system. It does not include — and has never included — an automatic chicken door, motor, limit switch, or door plate. It works with the vertically-opening automatic chicken door you already own. You keep your existing door; we add eyes, ears, and alerts.
